the guestbook’s jacket

of course we choose the most difficult way to make guestbook. bought the papers, bind them. bought the fabric, made the jacket. and now, they’re finally done.
we just have to stamp each page with this.

kebaya fitting part 1

i was a bit dissapointed with my kebaya’s progress  which was already almost 5 weeks in the making.
we had the first fitting last tuesday night, for checking the measurement only. belum ada kerah sabrina apalagi payet.

the next fitting will be next week. hope it will be better.

rencananya tiap halaman guestboook kita akan dicap nama & gambar kita pake ini.

too many shoes won’t kill you

sabtu kemarin ke plaza senayan. niatnya sih mau melengkapi seserahan.
kita berangkat naik mobil masing-masing. males banget ke tempat yang sama dengan mobil terpisah karena:
1. extremly unromantic
2. not enviromental friendly karena boros energi.
3. ngabis-ngabisin jatah parkir orang lain.
tapi karena memang setelah itu kita ada urusan-urusan sendiri jadilah berangkat & pulang sendiri-sendiri.

sampai sana ternyata ga ada yg menarik buat seserahan. malahan gue cari-cari selop buat match sama kebaya gue. maunya sih selop itu nantinya masih bisa dipake lagi. ada banyak sih yang bagus-bagus tapi malahan bingung jadilah setelah gue coba-coba banyak diputuskan belinya nanti aja.

-f- malahan beli sepatu futsal puma. dan gue tertarik banget sama converse warna tosca yang keren banget. sumpah keren. belum pernah liat warna itu sebelumnya. sayangnya size gue ga ada sebenernya gue jarang-jarang sih pake sneakers. tapi kalo travel sukanya pake sneaker daripada sandal. selain nyaman banget buat jalan, kaki gue suka kedinginan di pesawat

erklärung

1. wedding ring udah dipesan di toko kaliem, melawai. katanya sih 2 minggu jadi. kita udah liat contoh grafirnya dan disini cukup rapih. –> tinggal tunggu jadi

2. voucher hotel untuk di manado udah dibeli! jadinya 2 malam di swiss-belhotel dan 2 malam di santika. –> tinggal beli tiket pesawat

3. biji bunga matahari stok baru udah dicoba ditanam dan tumbuh! –> tinggal tunggu kantong kainnya jadi

4. undangan udah masuk percetakan –> diperkirakan selesai dalam 2 minggu

5. foto & formulir KUA udah dilengkapi & dikembalikan ke KUA

6. fitting kebaya sometimes minggu ini

7. sajadah udah dapet di ITC kuningan. patternnya bagus seperti yg gue mau & bisa dilipat. harganya cuma 1/3 dari harga di pasaraya!

mudah-mudahan semuanya lancar yaaaa….

guestbook in the making

after the meeting, instead of going back to the office, i went to the paper shop. the place is next to esmod. i had never been there, so i kept looking for a shop looking building. but it was more like a messy workshop with some creepy machines.

it was on a narrow road and i can’t find any parking spot. i ended up parking in front of a ceramic shop and bought a bowl and a mug! *aaargh another impulsive shopping*

the recommended papers are bc or bw. but i found a thicker paper, so i just bought that one. they helped me cutting the paper into A4 size with a guillotine look alike machine.

the next day, i brought the papers to subur for hardcover binding. they said the papers are too thick for normal hardcover binding. so the book will have hard cover with ring binding.

sajadah

-f- told me to choose any sajadah i like for part of mas kawin. we went to pasaraya where they have a special corner for sajadah.

i found the one with the pattern i like (photo on the left), tapi bentuknya seperti karpet banget. it’s not foldable. and i hate unfoldable sajadah. 

of course there are range of soft sajadah, the easy to fold one. i love that ones. i can carry it around, fold it and put it in my wardrobe, but i don’t like any of the pattern

yes, i’m very picky…

kotak seserahan

hari minggu kemarin kita ke mayestik buat beli kotak seserahan. itu pertama kali gue ke mayestik bagian pasarnya. ternyata pasar banget ya agak susah cari parkir (untung dapet) trus karena minggu banyak toko yang tutup juga.

akhirnya ketemu satu toko di pojok yang jual ibu-ibu tua. satu toko penuh kotak seserahan berbagai bentuk, material dan warna. -f- beli yang plain bamboo, warna bambu ga dicat sama sekali. gue beli yang anyaman warna coklat tua. sayangnya ukuran yang kita mau cuma ada sedikit. masih kurang beberapa. jadi kayaknya harus balik lagi deh kesini nanti-nanti.

kalau mau suasananya lebih beradab & ga pasar banget bisa beli kotak seserahan dibawah stasiun cikini. tempatnya lebih enak & lebih lega.

ps: penasaran kotak yg gue beli itu anyaman apa ya. seperti tikar gitu. -f- bilang daun kawung (never heard those kind of leaves), menurut gue dari daun papirus (-f- laughed).

batik cover guestbook

found some colorful batik cirebon at mayestik for rp 45.000 each. we think they will be great for the cover for our guestbook. but the problem, how to apply them to the book?

maybe we can use this tutorial for making the jacket of the book but we’re not sure if our book is landscape, is it will be as good as the potrait one?
